Nigerian wins literary award at Rome’s Festival of Peace

A Nigerian student in Rome has won a literary award at the Festival of Peace.

“Friendship”, a nonfiction work of Adebowale Afolabi Adekunbi won the Gold Medal (1st prize) for nonfiction literature. The piece highlights love, sacrifice, trust, synergy and growth as elements of true friendship. The judges complimented his literary prowess and wealth of writing experience.

Afro-Italian families in Rome to hold picnic

All Afro-Italian families in Rome are invited to a picnic on 13th May 2012.

The picnic organized by the Association of Afro-Italians, will take place from 13:00 at Parco della Caffarella (Largo Tacchi Venturi entrance).

Nigerian Muslim Community in Italy condemns religious fanaticism

Nigerian Muslim Community in Italy has strongly condemned religious fanaticism in Nigeria. In a meeting held on 14th April 2012 at Rivarolo Mantovano, in the Province of Mantova, Nigerian Muslims resident in Italy condemned what they described as “incessant religious mayhem in the northern parts of Nigeria.”
