JoanStyles, the number one African design house in Como, recently held a fashion show at the Auditorium di Cadorago in Como.
The event which is in its third year, was attended by both Africans and Italians with some of the people coming from as far as Parma and Reggio Emilia.
After the opening prayer by Elder Abeka of the Methodist Church, the event kicked off with a wonderful performance by Aka Wasie da Finest, an up and coming Ghanaian hip hop artiste from Bergamo.
Ten beautiful African and Italian models then took turns to model in evening, casual, African and wedding wears designed by JoanStyles.
The guests were also entertained by S-bone, Rich Mondo, T-bone and Zagidi.
Councillor Paolo Pargani from Cadorago Municipal Council praised the organisers of the event saying that many similar events were needed in Cadorago to facilitate the meetings between Italians and immigrants.
Mr. Pino Ammendola from Cadorago and a sponsor of the show described JoanStyles’ designs as unique as he proudly presented his entire family wearing African designs by JoanStyles.
