A 35-year-old man who used Facebook to groom a 14-year-old girl has been convicted at the Old Bailey.
Steven Clive, 35, of Snipe Close, Erith pleaded guilty on 18th March 2013, to one count of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and two counts of sexual activity with a child.

Knifepoint rapist jailed for seven years

An illegal immigrant, believed to be from Nigeria, has been jailed for seven years at the Old Bailey today for the knifepoint rape of a woman in July 2010 in south London.
John Jambu, 34, of Brighton Road, Croydon, had denied the offence but was convicted of the rape on 28th January following a trial at the Old Bailey. He had earlier pleaded guilty to fraud-related matters concerning identity documents.

A third man has been sentenced for role in a sophisticated phishing scam which targeted UK banks and the Student Loans Company netting the criminal gang involved more than £1.6million.
Christopher Inokwere, 39, a Nigerian national of Lilac Gardens, Bolton was sentenced at Southwark Crown Court to three and a half years for his part in a conspiracy to defraud UK Banks and their customers of monies.

A man has been sentenced to 24 years at the Old Bailey for attempting to murder a man at a Woodford eaterie.
Temidire Owolabi, 22, of no fixed abode, was also convicted of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life on 14th November 2011 at Cakes and Shakes in High Road, Woodford.
He will be sentenced on a date to be confirmed.
