A conman who convinced people they had received windfalls, then charged them fees of almost £800,000 to obtain the non-existent money, has been sentenced to six years imprisonment.

A man has been sentenced to 24 years at the Old Bailey for attempting to murder a man at a Woodford eaterie.
Temidire Owolabi, 22, of no fixed abode, was also convicted of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life on 14th November 2011 at Cakes and Shakes in High Road, Woodford.
He will be sentenced on a date to be confirmed.

A 17 year old boy who attempted to rape a prostitute in Rome has been arrested.
The boy approached a 23 year old prostitute who was waiting for clients along via Filippo Fiorentini, near Pietralata.

A man who stabbed and raped a woman at knifepoint has been jailed for six years and will be placed on the sex offenders register for life.

A 19-year-old man has been jailed for 24 years for the murder of Daniel Famakinwa in August 2011.
Ezekiel Charles-Sterling of 30 Kitley Gardens, Norwood SE19, was convicted on 31st May 2012 at the Old Bailey. He was also found guilty of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of a prohibited firearm. He received six years imprisonment for each offence, both to run concurrent.
