A prolific burglar has opened up and written to the police a detailed letter explaining what features on a property would stop him from targeting it for burglary.
Leon Reid, 32, of New Cross Road, SE13, wrote the letter to officers in Lewisham prior to his sentencing at Woolwich Crown Court on 23rd November.

A 17-year-old man who pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder of a man with whom he argued on a bus has been handed an indeterminate sentence at Southwark Crown Court.
At 01:15hrs on 29th May 2011, Tristan Henry, then aged 16, of Hatley Road, Islington, was involved in an altercation on a bus in Maida Vale, W9, with the 23-year old victim, which continued onto the street.

Four women who helped the murderers of a 22-year-old Abbey Wood man flee to Kenya, have been sentenced to a total of six years’ imprisonment for perverting the course of justice.
Moses Nteyoho of Abbey Wood, London SE2 was stabbed to death near to the Tilehurst Point flats, Tavy Bridge on 30th October 2009.

A Nigerian man who tried to smuggle cocaine worth approximately £140,000 through London City airport has been jailed for seven years.
Ikechukwu Lambert Eze, 37, was stopped by UK Border Agency staff at the airport on 31st August 2011, following his arrival from Cameroon via Zurich.
