Question: When I applied to be regularised in 2009, I spent more than 2,000 Euros between taxes, social security contributions and application fee. At the end of it all my application was rejected because my employer didn’t submit the required documents. I’d like to apply again, and was wondering if the money I spent last time will be taken into consideration.
Answer: No, the money you spent last time will not be taken into consideration. You should note that the application fee, taxes and social security contributions are supposed to be paid by the employer, not the worker. If your employer forced you to pay everything last time, don’t make the same mistake again.
For you to apply to be regularised this time, your employer will have to pay the application fee which is 1,000 Euros and taxes and social security contributions. More details on how this will be done will soon be provided in the Inter-Ministerial Decree to be published soon.
