The European Union (EU) should implement effective measures to help refugees rescued at sea, EveryOne Group has said.
The human rights body made the call after two migrants died in Lampedusa on 31st March 2013 because no medical backup was supplied during rescue operations at sea.

Official figures show that the rate of unemployment in the Eurozone hit a record high of 12% in February 2013.
The EU27 unemployment rate was 10.9%, up from 10.8% in the previous month.

EU visa applications should be further facilitated to help the EU tourism industry to drive growth and create jobs, Transport and Tourism Committee MEPs have told the European Commission.
Tourism accounts for 10% of GDP and 12% of total employment in the EU.

The EU proposals set clearer, more consistent and transparent rules across Europe for non-EU nationals wishing to come to the EU for the purposes of research, study and other exchanges.
