City Council of Crotone has joined the 'L'Italia sono anch'io' campaign calling for reform of the citizenship law to grant citizenship to children born in Italy of immigrant parents.
The Mayor of Crotone Peppino Vallone signed the two Bills proposing to grant citizenship to all children born in Italy and to grant immigrants the right to vote in local elections.
Meanwhile the City Council of Crotone is preparing a measure to grant honorary citizenship to children born in Crotone of immigrant parents.
“I believe that granting citizenship to whoever is born in Italy is a fundamental right,” Mr. Vallone said.
