No amnesty (sanatoria) for irregular immigrants in Italy

Following false news of a measure to grant amnesty (Sanatoria) to irregular immigrants in Italy, many of our readers have been contacting us trying to find out if it is true that they should apply to be regularised.

Some people who were misled into believing that they could be regularised, even went to the police station in Rome to submit their applications. Unfortunately most of them ended up being given expulsion orders.

Please note that the Italian government has not yet approved any measure to grant amnesty to irregular immigrants in the country.

We will inform you the very moment such a measure will be approved.
