Knowledge of Italian language, legality and security, and respect and promotion of human rights are key aspects of integration of immigrants, Integration Minister Andrea Riccardi has said.
Two days ago Mr. Riccardi met in Milan a delegation of Chinese residents in Lombardy Region.
About 50,000 Chinese live in the region. At the meeting they discussed different issues affecting the community and peaceful co-existence with Italians.
During economic crisis, Mr. Riccardi said, it is very important for businesses owned by Italians and foreigners to operate legally and contribute to putting state finances in order.
He urged Italians and immigrants to work together to build a better future for all.
