Refugees are not a problem to be solved, but a source of great hope for a “satisfied and indifferent” society, Jean-Léonard Touadi, MP has said.
Reflecting on the World Refugee Day, Mr. Touadi said today his thoughts go to asylum seekers and refugees, whom he described as men and women whose bodies and souls are afflicted, but with hope of improving their living conditions.
There are millions of human beings worldwide pursuing the right to life, he said.
Refugees motivate us to see in others the opportunities of growth, he said.
Mr. Touadi said he’ll continue the struggle to ensure that Italy approves a comprehensive asylum legislation, and puts in place effective paths to integration of refugees by involving local authorities, associations, and above all, refugees themselves.
