Commenting on the latest survey by the Italian National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT) that revealed that 72,1% of Italians approve birthright citizenship law, Mr. Vassallo said nobody should claim that Italians are not ready to let children born here of immigrant parents obtain citizenship. “It’s the Parliament that is extremely late,” he said.
