Deputy Speaker of the Senate Emma Bonino, has urged all employers of illegal immigrant workers in Italy to apply to regularize their workers instead of refusing hence forcing such workers to report them to authorities.
She clarified that the measure to regularise illegal immigrant workers cannot be referred to as amnesty to illegal immigrants. While amnesty is applicable to all illegal immigrants, regularisation only allows individuals working illegally to regularize their employment status, Ms. Bonino said.
