I have an employer willing to regularise me as his domestic worker

25th September 2009: Question: Hello. I’m from Ghana. I came to Italy on Tourist visa on 10th June. The visa has now expired. I have an employer willing to regularise me as his domestic worker. Can we submit my application?

Answer: Unfortunately you can't apply to be regularised. This is because only those who had been in the country and had been doing domestic work since 1st April 2009 can be regularised.
