I applied for political asylum using a false name, age and citizenship

25th August 2009: Question: I applied for political asylum using a false name, age and citizenship. The application was rejected in 2005 and I was given an expulsion order to leave the country within 15 days. Can I apply for regularisation, this time using my true name, age, citizenship?

Answer: Yes, you can be regularised if you meet the requirements established by the law (you must be a domestic worker, and must have been working for your employer for three months by 30th June 2009). From your question, it seems that you were given an expulsion order simply because you were in Italy illegally. You cannot, however, be regularised if you were condemned for using false identity.
