I'm self employed, can I be regularised?
The application for regularisation is to be submitted by the employer
25th August 2009: Question: I’ve been living in Italy illegally for five years. I’ve never committed any crime and have never been arrested. I do undeclared work because I don’t have the Permit of Stay. I’d like to regularise my status. Can I do it without an employer, I mean as a self-employed person?
Answer: Unfortunately you can’t be regularised if you are not a domestic worker. This measure for regularising illegal immigrants doesn’t allow self-employed illegal immigrants to be regularised. You must be a domestic worker and must have an employer willing to apply for your regularisation. In fact the application for regularisation is to be submitted by the employer of the domestic worker, not the worker.
