Regularisation - How do I prove my presence in Italy without a document?

Question: I came to Italy illegally from the UK on 21st November 2011. How can I prove that I’ve been living here since then? Please note that I don’t have any document.

Answer: In order to apply for regularisation, you must find a way of showing that you’ve been living in Italy by 31st December 2011.

So far the government has only indicated that you can use a document issued by public authorities to prove this. We expect the government to provide further guidance on which documents will be accepted. It’s important to note that even if you were already living in Italy before 31st December 2011, if you don’t have a document to prove it, you’ll not be qualified to apply for regularisation.
