I’m jobless. Can I be regularised?

Question: I came to Italy on 7th December 2011 and I have my passport. Unfortunately I don’t have a job. Can I be regularised?

Answer: Since you arrived in Italy before 31st December 2011, you qualify to be regularised. However, you must have an employer and must have been working for them for at least three months. Without a job you cannot be regularised. This is because the law only allows for regularisation of illegal immigrant workers.
