VAT, the value added tax is a tax that affects, through a system of detractions and compensation, the increase in value that a product incurs in the production and distribution phases. Its total effect is on the final consumer, who has to pay the entire tax. VAT mainly affects imports, transfer of goods and the performance of services by companies, craftsmen and professions.
A new law has come into force governing the use of self-certification. The Law Nr. 183 of 12th November 2011, amended the Law DPR 445/2000 on self-certification.

Each subordinate worker in Italy who gets married is entitled to marriage leave. This is a right recognized by both the Italian Constitution (Article 31, comma 1) and law (RDL 24 June 1937 number 1334). National Collective Agreements and Circular letters from INPS further indicate how the marriage leave is applied.
