Unfaithful men fling with friends' wives and partners

Wood: "Attractions develop very easily between men and women who see each other often"

If your friend is too friendly to your partner, you may have a reason to become suspicious. This is because a new poll conducted by the UK’s top internet dating company shows that of 5500 men who admitted to being unfaithful, a staggering 46.9% admitted their fling was with a friend’s wife or girlfriend.

The research was undertaken by www.benaughty.com between 5th and 14th February, and 5512 men looking for discreet relationships were asked three questions: Have you ever had a relationship with your friend’s wife or partner? Did you get caught? Did you confess?

Out of the 46.9% who admitted having had a relationship with their friend’s wife or partner, only 7.84% were ever caught. This means that 92.16% of men who have relationships with their friends’ wives or partners are never caught.

And the fact that they are never caught seems to make them convinced that it is needless to confess doing such a thing with a friend’s wife or partner. In fact when asked if they confessed having a fling with a friend's wife or girlfriend, 91.75% said no.

“It’s a remarkable figure and well above what we would have thought. Attractions develop very easily between men and women who see each other often, in the same circles. And it is often easier to be together without arousing any suspicions,” Sean Wood, Marketing Manager for benaughty said.
