7% of spouses have previously cheated on their current partner
UK's most sexually-satisfied spouses live in Great Manchester, a national survey of 4,000 married people has revealed.
The survey, commissioned by extra-marital dating agency IllicitEncounters.com and conducted by One Poll, found that, on average, married people in Greater Manchester rate their sex life at 10 out of 10 - 2 points higher than the rest of the UK.
In addition, couples in Manchester seem to be more passionately in love than the rest of the country; 66% of respondents in the area reported being 'very attracted to their spouse' (nationally, that figure is just 50%), and 40% described themselves as 'passionately in love', 13% higher than the national average.
Sara Hartley, representative for IllicitEncounters.com said: "The survey was intended to uncover the romantic lives of Britain's married couples. The rest of the country gave us some pretty dismal statistics - but Manchester seemed practically Disney by comparison!".
Perhaps in contradiction, 7% of Manchester spouses admitted to having previously cheated on their current partner in the past. However, unlike 3% of the UK who confess to cheating right now, none of the Manchester respondents said they were currently being unfaithful.
IllicitEncounters.com is the UK's largest married dating site, with in excess of 450,000 members.
