Bonino: Immigrants necessary for Italy

PostDateIcon Saturday, 06 February 2010 01:58 | Print E-mail

Immigrants are necessary for Italy, Ms. Emma Bonino, a candidate for Presidency of Lazio Region has said.

The centre-left candidate would like Lazio to be an active Region, which pays special attention to the weakest and the exploited.

“The Lazio we want doesn’t have fear and accepts challenges. Great cultures are products of contaminations,” she said.

She observed that while it is right to require immigrants to respect the laws, the same should also be valid for Italians.
