Domestic workers in Milan who applied to be regularized can now check online if they have been summoned to the Immigrations Office to undersign the Residency contract.

All they have to do is to log on to the website of the Immigrations Office at the Prefecture and type in the application’s code and click on “Verifica” (Verify).

Milan is the province where the highest number of applications for regularization of irregular domestic workers was submitted.

In order to process the 43,000 applications received, the Immigrations Office at the Prefecture has hired some 30 temporary workers and opened 26 offices throughout the province to receive employers and workers summoned to undersign the contracts.

All applications for regularisation of irregular domestic workers in Milan may be cleared by July, Immigrations Office at the Prefecture told Il Sole 24 newspaper.
