What does legacy case mean?

When can I expect to receive a decision in my case?

12th September 2010: Question: I have been told that my case is being dealt with as a “legacy” case. What does this mean and when can I expect to receive a decision in my case?

Answer: The Home Office have announced that legacy cases are due to be cleared by July 2011.
